The Crosby Fist Grip Clip G-429 is completely galvanized for corrosion resistance. This wire rope end termination is used to fix the loose end of wire rope back to the cable body to form a thimble eye or loop. An eye or loop properly prepared with Fist Grip Clips has an efficiency of 80% based on the catalog breaking strength of wire rope and a 90% efficiency rating for 1″ Clips and above.

Description
The Crosby Fist Grip Clip G-429 consists of a two-part saddle which comes together when the nuts are tightened. Two or more Fist Grip Clips are often required for each eye or loop.
Product Features Include:
- Entire Fist Grip Clip is Galvanized to resist corrosive and rusting action.
- Based on the catalog breaking strength of wire rope, Crosby wire rope clips have an efficiency rating of 80% for 3/16” – 7/8” sizes, and 90% for sizes 1” through 1-1/2”.
- Bolts are an integral part of the saddle. Nuts can be installed in such a way as to enable the operator to swing the wrench in a full arc for fast installation.
- All sizes have forged steel saddles.
- All Clips are individually bagged or tagged with proper application instructions and warning information.
- Meets or exceeds all requirements of ASME B30.26
- Assembled with standard heavy hex nuts.

The number of clips shown (see Table 1) is based upon using RRL or RLL wire rope, 6 x 19 or 6 x 36 Class, FC or IWRC; IPS or XIP, XXIP.
If Seale construction or similar large outer wire type construction in the 6 x 19 Class is to be used for sizes 1 inch and larger, add one additional clip.
If a pulley (sheave) is used for turning back the wire rope, add one additional clip.
The number of clips shown also applies to rotation-resistant RRL wire rope, 8 x 19 Class, IPS, XIP, XXIP sizes 1-1/2 inch and smaller; and to rotation-resistant RRL wire rope, 19 x 7 Class, IPS, XIP, XXIP sizes 1-1/2 inch and smaller.
